Using options can provide you with ways to play a stock if you expect it to sit quietly and with strategies to use when you expect a stock to move but aren't sure which way.

Regardless of which strategies you might use, there are several things to consider. First is that option commissions will affect overall results and particularly when buying or selling small quantities since there is usually an economy of scale.
